Thor is a big fan of catnip. His little sister, Piper, would rather watch him roll in it more than anything.

Fun in Auburn

As evidenced from the previous mobile pictures, I had a divine time with my dear friends in Auburn last night. We went to a hookah bar where we had dinner and a mango-flavored hookah. Afterward, we hung out at an all-night doughnut shop and drank coffee, ate doughnuts, watched Death Proof and chatted for hours and hours. Maybe it was a combination of the hookah, the falafel I ate, the coffee and the cake doughnuts, but I was in terrible pain on the way back. My friend Erin was sick too and she ate just about everything I did. But in spite of all that, we all had a lot of fun.

It was sort of bittersweet for Michael and I. Earlier in the week we decided that this would be our last major get-together with friends for a long, long time. With graduation soon approaching, I need to focus on finding a job. I mentioned yesterday that I’ve got a few prospective jobs lined up, but I’m going to keep my eyes open for more. I’m also thinking about some job training to get the job I really want, but I’m working on that. =)

It figures: just as I’m feeling lost and unsure I get a great pick me up. I found a few job vacancies that I’m qualified for (in fact, over-qualified would be a better adjective) and I’m going to send off my applications/resume as soon as possible. I’m still going to look to the State to hire me and I’m still thinking about taking a programming course or two, but I’m not going to just ignore the new opportunities. So, yay for being at the right place at the right time.
